Now that things have settled down post-fundraising, we are making more concrete plans for the future across a handful of areas. One key area is hiring, and we have decided to pull forward a few hires that were originally planned for a few years from now. The three roles described below have always been on the drawing board, but looking at the the current needs in our portfolio (and the new opportunities in front of us), we are excited to accelerate new skills and more horsepower on the team.
First, a quick note about titles, teams and the environment here. At ParkerGale, we don't have different titles between our Operating team and our Investing team. We have Partners, Principals and Associates. That's it. Principals are equals whether they are focused on Operations or Investing, same with Partners. That's just how we do it here because we think that's the right way to run a firm. We expect everybody to help everyone else whenever it's needed. Of course, we each have our special skills and we expect you to bring yours with you to help make us better, but we are a small team working with small companies so you will be involved in all aspects of what we do at some time or another. We think we have created a great environment in which to thrive and an opportunity to build a long, successful career alongside us.
